We take the stress out of Mission Trip planning

About Us

Our Background

Go Missionary Travel has years of experience and are dedicated to serving God and helping those who seek to serve others, and tell others the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Our founder, Nancy Thomson, has been an active member of the Church her entire life.  Actively involved with youth groups for over 12 years, she has been a mentor to small groups, short term mission chaperone, and counselor to youth in need.

Drawing from her love of God and her experience in the travel industry as a Travel Agent, Nancy felt called to do her part to help Christians travel to wherever God has called them to go.

As it states in Mark 16:15, "He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation."  This is the origin of our company name GO.  If you have any questions or wish to contact us, feel free to send us an email or check out our "Contact Us" page for more options.

God Bless,

Why Insurance?

Because life happens, health and family issues arise, and it happens often.  Most airline tickets are not refundable, and some prepaid lodging or transportation costs are also non-refundable.  Can you obtain and use an airline credit in the future?  Absolutely.  But there are still change fees involved, and the credit must be used within one year of the ticket issue date.  Insurance would alleviate that stress.

Trip Insurance would cover cancellation, medical, dental, trip interruption, baggage delays, etc.  With the investment of your team's funds toward their trip, the minimal fee for insurance is often worth the cost.

Getting Started

How to best utilize GO Missionary Travel

First - Where is God calling you to go?

Pray, then pray more and often, asking for guidance for your trip, and that God will lead and direct every step, and call each heart that HE wants to go.

Plan Early.  It is NOT illogical or impossible to start getting prices together and holding seats 11 months prior to taking your trip.   Call us, or Email us at Nancy@gomissionarytravel.com, and we will start the process.  Deposits ARE refundable if the trip is cancelled before 90 days of departure.

Ideas:

When your team member submits their application and deposit money (best practice is to obtain deposit money with application), obtain a copy of name page of the passport for your records, if they have their passports.

For your budget planning, be sure to factor in costs for additional checked bags, as domestic and some other destinations allow only one, or zero, free checked bags.
